You know what I would love to see? If you could add a picture of the palms to each post. You have got great info on each palm, but I do miss to be able to see what the actual palm looks like. Because they can be very different!

First of all, sorry for a late reply. I was getting a lot of spam comments lately, so sometimes you need a lot of time to choose the legit ones from the spammy ones.

You obtain bamboo palm seeds from the fruit that it produces. The fruit is circular in shape and is dark purple in color. Also, the fruit is quite small in size. The description you gave is not of the fruit but the bamboo palms does grow these.

To obtain seeds from the fruit. I would recommend soaking the fruit for about 24 hours in warm water so that it will be easier to remove the fruit off seeds.

As for the best time, I can't really say but I think it is this this time of the year i.e. July

We have small sprays of orange colored flowers on our six year old bamboo palm and on some of the bunches are small dark green pods which we assume are seeds! When should they be harvested and how should they be treated to obtain seeds for propogation of new plants?

Terrific work! This is the type of information that should be shared around the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this post higher!
